Architecture + Design Film Festival 2025
The Architecture + Design Film Festival (A+DFF) in Winnipeg presents critically acclaimed films focusing on the importance of architecture and design in everyday life. The films cover a range of design-oriented topics from architecture and urban design to graphics and product design. A+DFF (adff.ca) is the only Canadian festival devoted solely to architecture and design. Join us for the fourteenth annual celebrations in 2025.

The Winnipeg Architecture Foundation (WAF) is a registered charitable organization. Incorporated in November 1996, the Winnipeg Architecture Foundation is dedicated to advancing the awareness and appreciation of Winnipeg’s built environment through public education.

The Winnipeg Film Group is an artist-run education, production, exhibition and distribution centre committed to promoting the art of cinema. Winnipeg Film Group’s venue, Dave Barber Cinematheque, is an intimate movie theatre devoted to screening the very best in Canadian and world cinema.
Urban Idea
Urban Idea was founded in the late 1980s as The Urban Idea Centre of Winnipeg to “encourage and facilitate the exchange of ideas and opinions relating to the city, the quality of urban life and future possibilities.” Urban Idea focuses on conversations and actions about placemaking and public space within the city, as viewed through the lens of the arts. Urban Idea believes that the arts play a fundamental role in the development of, and people’s relationships to, the spaces which surround us.
